Our recruitment process
All new recruits undergo a mandatory training and induction programme as well being fully committed to ensuring all existing staff receive the most up to date comprehensive training
Training includes:
- Health and safety
- Fire prevention
- First aid and life support
- Infection control
- Food hygiene
- Protection of Vulnerable adults
- Moving and handling
- Medication management
- Dementia
- Person Centred personal care
New recruits to the care industry and/or Caring Hearts also receive training on:
- Core values
- SSSC’s Code of conduct
- Policies and procedures
- Wherever there is a need for specialised training, expert external providers provide this. If caring for those with complex needs, all staff must have the required mandatory training and experience
